Celsior

This is a September 1998 Celsior with 187,000 km / 117,000 miles. It’s finished in Atlantis Blue Mica (8L4) over the factory gray wool interior, with no sunroof. It was purchased at auction in Japan, grade 3.5 with interior B and exterior B scores.

If you know me from JJ in Motion on YouTube, you already know how much I love the UCF20 platform. I’ve owned, worked on, and made a lot of videos about these cars, so when I started looking for a Celsior to bring in for my dealership, Surfside JDM, I was pretty particular about the example I wanted.

Being a late UCF20, it has the VVT-i 1UZ-FE engine and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The combination of the late drivetrain, rare color, wool interior, and no-sunroof is a big part of what made this particular car stand out to me.

Condition is very good for the age. The body is straight, the paint still has excellent depth and gloss, and the interior has held up remarkably well. There are a few cosmetic blemishes around the car, and I’m happy to show them in more detail — just ask.

Mechanically it drives very well, the A/C works great, and all major functions work as expected.

Before the car is sold, I’m also taking care of several items, all included in the asking price: OEM Lexus front brakes, a coolant diverter valve, timing belt and water pump service with an Aisin kit, and OEM Lexus engine and transmission mounts.
